Jawbone Available at iPhone Launch
Buzz June 19th, 2007According to the manufacturer, Aliph, the Jawbone bluetooth headset will be available alongside the iPhone for launch at Apple Stores.
The Jawbone itself has been available for a while now, but it appears that availability at Apple Stores is a new thing. Pricing should be around $119.
From the manufacturer’s release:
Jawbone is a groundbreaking Bluetooth headset from Aliph that integrates the latest innovations in acoustics, audio processing and product design to provide users with best-in-class incoming and outgoing voice clarity. Using an advanced, military-grade noise-canceling system called Noise Shield, the headset eliminates background noise and seamlessly adjusts speaker volume throughout the call, resulting in uninterrupted and clearer conversations, even in the most extreme environments.
So, all that AND it’s slightly less ugly than most headsets. Very manly looking, and it’s enormous, if you’re into that sort of thing (you know who you are).
This is in addition to the tiny Apple Bluetooth Headset that will also be available at launch. No word on pricing yet for Apple’s headset.
Far be it for us to be the fashion police, but if you’re going to have a headset surgically implanted in your skull 24/7, we’d go for the one designed by Mr. Ive’s team.
