SSH App for iPhone
Apps June 20th, 2007One of our biggest hopes for the iPhone was that it would have a Terminal shell available, which would increase the utility of the mobile device immensely.
Today, developers have released a beta application and a call for developers.
The application is based on WebShell, and is described as buggy:
WebShell needs your help! Right now it is very buggy, the server should be securized, the user interface improved. Any help is welcome!.

Confirmed as working on iPhone 7/2/07, although their demo server is taking some serious abuse right now.
It could be formatted (much) better for iPhone’s display, but it passed every test we ran on it, including marking up some code in nano.
They’ve open-sourced the app recently, so if you’ve the inclination, drop on by their site to help with the formatting and presentation.
